We will not stop in our efforts to provide and maintain a website that you can enjoy each and every day. With that said, we guarantee you that we will constantly be working to become a better and more useful site. With hard work and diligence, we feel that anything can be accomplished.
2011 PLAYER RATING SYSTEM (PLAYER RATER)
To be able to compete in your Fantasy League, you have to be able to pick the best players available at each position. MoneyStats has developed a unique Player Rater that features our MoneyStats Value System. Our Player Rater allows you to sort by position, team, American or National League, and each statistical catagory (high to low and low to high) and also by our MoneyStats Value. You can determine who is the best player at each statistical catagory. Our MoneyStats Value combines all the catagories into one overall measure to effectively determine a "One Number" Rating System. Our Player Rater also includes a Fixed Header, so as you scroll down our list of players the header will not disappear. This data will start fresh in 2011 and update daily.
2011 STARTING PITCHER'S GAME LOG (MONEYSTATS EXCLUSIVE)
We have developed an exclusive Game Log for Starting Pitchers. New features include listing the Opposing Pitcher's Faced and their W - L Record on a game by game basis. This allows us to tell you which pitchers faced the toughest competition. Runs Received is another new item. MoneyStats has Runs Received listed on a game by game basis. Now we can tell you which pitchers received the most run support. Roy Oswalt is a great example. He had 74 Runs Received in 32 starts, for a 2.31 RR / start. With more run support, Roy could have easily won more than 13 games in 2010. With a full season in Philadelphia, Oswalt has been added as a Sleeper Player. We talk more about Sleepers below. This data will start fresh in 2011, and update daily.
2011 STARTING PITCHER'S SPLITS (MONEYSTATS EXCLUSIVE)
MoneyStats wants to be the industry leader in helping you pick out your Starting Pitchers. We have developed new Splits Data for Starting Pitchers. We are proud to introduce for 2011 several new ideas and features!
MoneyStats understands how important a Quality Start is to a starting pitcher. The success of a pitcher goes up significantly when they pitch 6 innings and give up 3 runs or less. With that in mind, MoneyStats has developed new Splits for Quality Starts. Quality Start Percentage tells you the pitchers with the highest percentage of Quality Starts. Quality Start W - L and Winning Percentage tells you the QS W - L record and the winning percentage in those Quality Starts. Quality Start / No Decisions have been developed to let you know which pitcher has the most Quality Start / No Decisions. We break down the Quality Start / No Decisions into ND's when Leading, ND'S when Tied and ND's when Trailing. MoneyStats has also developed a Quality Start Index, our "one number" variable that lets you easily rate all starters by Quality Starts. We can explain how Felix Hernandez of the Mariners won the Cy Young with a 13-12 record. Felix had 6 Quality Start Losses, and 9 Quality Start No Decisions, including 3 games where he left with the lead, 5 games where he left with the game tied and 1 game where he left trailing. We have splits on every starting pitcher. This data will start fresh in 2011 and update daily.
MoneyStats has new Splits for Runs Received / Runs Allowed and Differential. The pitchers with the highest Runs Received / Runs Allowed Differential will be the starting pitchers that will almost always have the best success. We have all 215 pitchers listed and have broken down this list into 5 catagories, based on the number of starts. Our Splits Lists are all sortable by each column, high to low and low to high. We also chart IP / Start, RR / Start, RA / Start and Differential. This data will start fresh in 2011 and update daily.
Our Pitcher's Splits also have a Fixed Header, so as you scroll down our page the header will not disappear.
2011 STARTING PITCHER'S SPLITS LISTS/COMPARISONS

Quality Starts Lists - # of Quality Starts, Quality Start Percentage, Quality Start - No Decisions, Quality Start Index

All Splits List have a Fixed Header, so as you scroll down the header will not disappear.
2011 BATTING AVERAGE ON BALLS IN PLAY (BABIP)
Batting Average on Balls In Play (BABIP) has become one of the most popular stats in fantasy baseball in recent years. BABIP measures the number of batted balls that fall safely for a hit (excluding home runs). The major league average for BABIP is usually around .300. The average in 2010 was .297. Generally, if a player's BABIP is well above the major league average, fantasy league owners conclude that player has experienced some amount of luck. Most think it is unreasonable for a player to post an unusually high BABIP in consecutive seasons. On average, the top 10 BABIP players in 2009 posted a lower batting average (by .034) and a lower BABIP (by .039) in 2010.
Disclaimer / Our BABIP numbers prior to 2011 do not include Sacrifice Flys in our formula. With that said, our numbers will vary between .001 and .008 (higher) than MLB totals. Moving forward starting in 2011, our BABIP numbers will have SF included, so we should be the same as MLB.
MoneyStats has implemented the BABIP numbers on all player pages, our Player Rater, and Sleeper Charts. The numbers on our Player Rater and Sleepers allow you to compare BABIP numbers of players by position.
2011 5 x 5 LEAGUE CHARTS
This information is essential for anyone in a 5x5 Fantasy League. We have assembled a Player Rater for 5x5 Leagues. The Hitters and Pitchers information is condensed into the catagories used in a basic 5x5 League. On Base Percentage (OBP), Slugging Percentage (SLG), and On Base Plus Slugging Percentage (OPS) are added to the Hitters pages. Our 5x5 Chart also incorporates our MoneyStats Value System for each player as well. Our 5 x 5 Charts also include a Fixed Header, so as you scroll down our list of players, the header will not disappear.
2011 CLOSER CHART
Almost all Fantasy Leagues use Saves as a catagory to determine the Winner. Our Closer Chart puts all the "Ninth Inning Pitchers" into our Player Rater Format for easy and effective comparison. We have again developed our MoneyStats Value System and given each Closer a MoneyStats Value. Our MoneyStats Value System takes into account all the most important statistics to develop a "one number" overall rating for each Closer. Our Closer Chart also contains a Fixed Header, so as you scroll down our list of Closers, the header will not disappear.
2011 SLEEPERS PLAYER RATER (MONEYSTATS EXCLUSIVE)
This section is all the players that are "flying under the radar." Almost all leagues are won and lost by the players that are picked in the middle to late rounds, and not the established stars that put up consistant numbers every year. That is what we have formulated here in our Sleepers Section. These are the players that maybe your fellow league members are not thinking about. The names in this section just may win your league for you. A Fixed Header is also included in our Sleepers Section. Our Sleepers Player Rater will be updated weekly, so you can use this information throughout the season. There is no reason you cannot find a Sleeper anytime during the year.
MY TEAMS (MONEYSTATS EXCLUSIVE)
The My Teams section allows you to formulte full rosters of players that you want to draft. When you are on a players page that you want to draft, click the "Add To My Teams" tab under the players picture. Throughout the website, you will find numbers in red. These numbers are the highest number for each category, except the ERA and WHIP, and then the number “red-lined” is the lowest number. This is exactly what we have with our “All MoneyStats Team." These are the hidden gems that maybe not everyone is thinking about. You are going to want to have some of these players on your fantasy team. This data also includes the MoneyStats Value Index.
INCOMING / OUTGOING PLAYER MOVEMENT (MONEYSTATS EXCLUSIVE)
In this day of free agency, it is very difficult to keep track of which players have changed teams. This section lists all the player movement by team. We have presented this information in a very unique way. Each team has an “in-coming” and an “out-going” section. The players listed on the “in-coming” side tell you who has been added to each team, and what team they came from. The players on the “out-going” side tell you which players have left each team and the team they went to. This is an interesting way to look at each team and see who’s “coming and going” and gives you a nice overall view of the player movement by team.
